Fremantle productions have amassed 10 Golden Globe nominations, it was announced today. The nominations cover multiple categories across film and TV, demonstrating the range and depth of our scripted output.

Fremantle-owned Element Pictures’ Poor Things earned one of the highest nomination tallies for this year’s awards with seven: Best Picture, Best Director for Yorgos Lanthimos, Best Actress (Musical or Comedy) for Emma Stone, Best Supporting Actor for Willem Dafoe and Mark Ruffalo, Best Screenplay for Tony McNamara and Best Original Score for Jerskin Fendrix. Among its recent accolades, the film won the Golden Lion for Best Film at this year’s Venice Film Festival, received two awards from the National Board of Review and was named as one of the AFI’s top ten motion pictures of the year.

Fellow Travellers, produced by Fremantle and Showtime, received two nominations: Best Limited Series, Anthology Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television and Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for Matt Bomer. This follows the series receiving three Critics Choice Association nominations, including for Best Limited Series, last week.

Cailee Spaeny was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for her role as Priscilla Presley in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla produced by our team at The Apartment Pictures. Spaeny won the Coppa Volpi for Best Actress success at the Venice Film Festival and the film won awards at the Mill Valley and Middleburg film festivals.

The 2024 Golden Globes ceremony will be held on Sunday 7 January, 2024, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
