Who we are
Operating since 1959 and under the Fremantle banner since 2006, Fremantle Australia has produced thousands of hours of content across scripted, factual, entertainment and reality, including the Emmy award winning Heartbreak High for Netflix.
Globally, the Fremantle group is a world leader in production and distribution, operating in over 180 countries and producing more than 11,000 hours annually across the Fremantle portfolio of companies. Our strategic partnerships span the Fremantle group, from Element Pictures (Normal People) to The Apartment (Oscar nominated The Hand of God), enabling us to scale our services and leverage our relationships to bring your project to life.
What we do
Our unique position within a highly sophisticated production company group makes us the best placed provider of end-to-end production services in Australia. We can expedite project set up and employ our team of over twenty across finance, legal, and human resources to provide security and safety for producer, commissioner and financier. Additionally, with an integrated post house, we can run local post services internally for incentive eligibility purposes.
With our experience, we also have particular expertise in end-to-end production workflows for global streamers, projects with complex logistical challenges such as marine units, stackable Australian incentive procurement, and multi-country photography.
Our offering is infinitely customisable, and in the spirit of creative excellence our initial consultation work is fee-free to assess best fit.
Why Australia
Australia is the world’s premier production destination, especially for its unparalleled diversity of locations. A strong match for almost anywhere on Earth, Australia has frequently doubled for North America, Europe, and South-East Asia, with extensive desert, coastal, urban and forest environments.
Beyond that, its depth of crew, world class studio facilities and VFX vendors, stable political environment, competitive state-based incentive programs and favourable exchange rates make it a highly compelling destination both creatively and financially.
